What is a First Class Degree?

In the UK a First Class Degree is the highest level awarded on a Bachelors degree course, followed by a two one (upper second), two two (lower second) and a third:

Around 10% of students in the UK achieve a first class degree.

Whilst these tips were compiled by a first class degree student in the UK, the advice offered is generic and can equally be applied by students in other countries.
