Prioritising Work on a Degree Course

Many people prefer to prioritise work on a chronological basis, i.e. completing work in the order of the deadlines.

On the whole this is the best approach, however there may be exceptions.

For example, if you already have a good understanding of the subject matter of one module, it may make sense to start that one earlier, even if the deadline is later.

This can allow you more time to learn and consult lecturers on a module you have a poorer understanding of.

I used this technique successfully on my degree course, but to make it work you must be disciplined.

Furthermore, the idea is to increase your working efficiency making best use of your time. It is not an excuse to procrastinate or put off work you do not enjoy.
